Take Heart in Challenging Times

“Do not lose heart. We were made for these times.”

~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes

When we lose heart we become dis-couraged, dis-heartened and out of touch with who we really are.

When we lose heart we disconnect from our deepest inner source of love, courage, compassion, guidance and wisdom.

When we lose heart we are unable to make the contributions we are each here to make.

Instead we can choose to respond to challenges by taking heart.

Take heart by committing more fiercely than ever before to the practices that bring you home to who you really are.

How? Ask yourself with an open curiosity:
Hmmm… what are the simple things I can do - today, right now - that help me remember who I really am?

A few simple things this morning that bring me home to who I really am: hugging a big fir tree, tending my garden, lifting my heart and face to the vast sky and feeling the ever present, generous flow of breath.

What is it for you?

The pathway to your heart is in you now. Remember it. Follow it.

Do not let the challenges in the world separate you from who you really are.

Again and again, all day, each day, do the little things that help you remember who you really are

When you are connected to your heart your words are more true, your next step more clear, your actions more inspired.

You were born for these times. What the world needs most now is you - aligned with and taking action from your heart.
