Sentences in two different articles recently struck a deep resonant chord in me:
Kindness is contagious.
Courage can be contagious.
Cruelty and fear are also contagious. They can and often do spread like wildfire, especially in these times when we are so immediately “connected” by social media which often seems to feed on cruelty and fear.
We must remember we have choice. Moment by moment we can choose our thoughts, our focus and our intention.
We can choose to look for acts of kindness and courage and to help them spread to our families, communities and the world.
We can transform our lives and the world by choosing kindness and courage in our actions and our words.
I love the way these two qualities can support and enhance each other.
Kindness and Courage.
I’d love to hear from you:
Where can you activate these qualities more fully in your life?
What happens when you do?
Here are the articles I mentioned about kindness and courage:
“ You get what you project. Whether it is calm and confidence — or fear, anger and hatred — people will respond in kind. Courage can be contagious.” (This article refers to voting and yet is such a powerful statement about leadership that it is perpetually relevant and inspiring.)
